The family stream of visa applications is designed for parents and children of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens, including NZ citizens on temporary visas. Depending on the type of application, it may lead to a temporary or permanent residency visa. Each application is assessed based on your relationship with your Australian, PR, or eligible New Zealand family member.
The Subclass 103 visa allows parents to live permanently in Australia if they have a child who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen settled in Australia.
The Subclass 173 visa allows parents living outside Australia to stay in Australia for up to two years if they have a child who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen settled in Australia.
The Subclass 407 Training visa allows workplace-based training in Australia to improve your professional skills and expertise.
Workplace-based training may be required for occupational registration, licensing, or membership needed to work in Australia or your home country.
